It seemed like we were going to receive the green light to travel in approximately 6 to 8 weeks, however it did not happen. The Child Adoption Board meets twice per month on the 1st and the 15th of every month. It sounded positive that our Thai social worker was going to put our paperwork forward to receive final approval. This approval allows us to finalize immigration paperwork and start booking our travel arrangements. Detailed information is lacking, but it sounds like the schedule became too busy on the 1st and they were unable to receive our paperwork. Now, we wait for the February 15th CAB meeting, which is ultimately the 14th here. We are praying to receive the good news shortly after the 15th. FYI- At these CAB meetings they are also meeting with new adopting families that are in country and waiting to travel back home with their newly adopted child. Soon we will be one of these families. I can only imagine how busy it gets trying to approve all of these adoptions when they only meet two times per month. We continue to pray and know that God has a plan for us.
